I had the privilege of interning at a wonderful organization that provides transitional, life-skills training and services for young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other neuro-developmental challenges. I have since worked with many individuals on the autism spectrum, with ADHD, LGBTQ+, and parents of neurodivergent children.
Though this population is not the focus of my practice, I am comfortable with and very much enjoy working with neurodivergent thinkers who seek support for trauma, perinatal mental health and my other services.
On a personal note, I also have ADHD and have loved ones who are neurodivergent and I understand the importance of individuality and seeking to understand what is most helpful for each client.
