I'll let you in on a little personal disclosure- I've been there. I find that I enjoy helping others navigate and heal after divorce. Someone once told me, 'Divorce is just like a death, only no one brings a casserole.' I know how lonely and scary it can feel, along with a bunch of other emotions. Along with the emotional aspects, divorce may feel overwhelming due to legal, financial, and logistical concerns.
In therapy we work to:
Move through the grief and loss
Learn coping mechanisms to deal with stress and anxiety
Clarify your needs, goals, values, and hopes
Improve communication skills and navigate possible conflicted communications
Discuss parenting and coparenting challenges along with boundaries you may need to set
Help you rediscover yourself outside of the marriage, guiding you toward healing trust in self and self-compassion
Help you move forward after divorce toward new goals and a new life
